Easy Bike Ride along Torrens River Windsor Gardens

I started my ride today at the car park on Pittwater Drive Windsor Gardens, I headed east following the Torrens River towards the Adelaide Hills. I thought I would ride up the hill first while I was fresh and the return trip would be riding down hill.

One thing to keep in mind while you are riding along the Torrens River is that you quite often need to ride up and down the bank of the river which in some cases can be a reasonably steep climb. As the Beach Cruiser is only a single speed there were a few occasions where I had to get of the seat and pedal standing up to get over the rise, if I was riding my geared road bike it would have not been an issue. The majority of the riding along the Torrens is easy and can be done at a leisurely pace.

I had ridden about 4.5 klm east along the river before I decided to turn around and head back to the walk bridge on Silkes Road and cross to the other side of the Torrens.

I followed the Torrens River for some time, riding under the Darley Road Bridge till I could find a crossing so I could cross the river and get to my car back on the other side of the river.

The ride was just over 10klm and took about 45 minutes to complete, details of the ride below.
